September 4, 2002, Wednesday, HI Express, Worthington, MN. Lorri and her mom and dad (Jack & Delores Vierling) are playing 500, a card game, with Lorri's grandmother over at the place where she lives. I'll take this opportunity to upload a few photos of our trip so far. We're having a great time! We've been to see National Treasures such as Mt. Rushmore, Old Faithful, The Corn Palace (just kidding) and Las Vegas (Las Vegas?) and visited with some old friends, such as Steve Tate and Kristy Wheeler. Here in Minnesota we've had some fun with Lorri's parents and grandmother, as well as her aunt, uncle, and assorted cousins.

September 13, 2002, Friday (the 13th! eeek!), McHugh residence, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. After leaving Worthington, MN, we spent five days on the road and nights camping, passing through the heart of the Mid-west. From the Bluff Country of southeast Minnesota, through Chicago, to the shores of Lake Michigan, to an island in Lake Erie and finally to the quiet burg of Chagrin Falls, east of Cleveland. Today we head to State College, PA, where the Nittany Lions will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 8:00 PM Saturday night.

September 23, 2002, Monday, State College, PA. From Chagrin Falls to Penn State for the Nebraska game to Gettysburg to Baltimore to Penn State for the Louisiana Tech game, it's been a busy ten days! The highlight so far was a visit with Coach Paterno after the LA Tech game! The weather has finally become more Fall-like after weeks of heat and humidity. Today it is sunny, crisp and clear, a great day to head north toward the wilds of upstate Pennsylvania (Dick Anthony's house) and New York State.

October 9, 2002, Wednesday, somewhere just south of Boston in a Massachusetts State Park. From Dick Anthony's house to the Finger Lakes of New York, down to the Philadelphia area for my niece's wedding and camping with the grandkids. Then on to the New Jersey Shore; Mystic, Connecticut and Newport, Rhode Island, we've been roaming around the east coast, taking photos and having a great time. Not a lot of fall color yet, but that will change in the next few days. The weather has been warm up until a couple days ago. It was down in the 40's here last night so that should get those leaves a-turning as we head north from here.

October 17, 2002, Thursday evening, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp Resort (www.jellystonemaryland.com), Hagerstown, MD. Hey, don't laugh. It was the closest place to the freeway, it was raining, and we were ready to stop. On top of all that they have Wi-Fi internet access which is how I'm updating my web! We're headed toward Colonial Williamsburg for a little family get-together. Since we left Newport, we've zigzagged through New England chasing fall color and generally having a good time. From the whaling town of New Bedford to Plymouth Rock and up into the great North Woods, we've been leaf peeping a-plenty. On to Maine and the little resort town of Bethel. We've come a long way since then but that will be another story.

November 3rd, 2002. Well, we're home now. We got back to San Diego on Thursday, Halloween Day. There will be one more update after this one. This update includes  photos from the Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and the Coast of Maine. We had a big family gathering in Colonial Williamsburg Virginia, and stayed in some cool places on the way there!

November 5th, 2002. We're still home! This update includes some more Colonial Williamsburg photos and chronicles our trip back across the country. It only took us nine days. We hit a lot of RAIN until we got to West Texas. There we camped in the soft sand and then on hard rock. In Mississippi, we toured Vicksburg National Military Park . We visited John Tyler's Plantation House on the James River in Virginia. Remember JT? Tenth President of the US? Nice House.

November 12, 2002. We're STILL HOME! This is probably the last update for RT3. I added a page sure to please any statistic nut. If not, if you need MORE numbers on something, just email me and let me know what you're looking for. I'll see what I can do.
