Herkey Creek

GC9EB - June 10, 2001

On the way back from Palm Desert I went straight on Rte. 74 for about 10 miles past Rte. 371 which is where I would normally turn south to head toward San Diego. I was rewarded by a leisurely walk along Herkey Creek and then a little hike up into the boulders on a nearby hillside. Here are some photos from that venture.

The cache on the left, Stork and cache in the middle and a view looking westerly toward the hills taken from near the cache location.

On the left is a nice flat top of a boulder where I relaxed for a while. On the right are some flowers that seem to be growing from the boulders. This was a nice area on a nice day.
