Jack's and Lorri's Road Trip, Page 5
Memorial Day Weekend at Marshy Point, MD
We left Williamsburg on Friday, May 22, to spend Memorial Day Weekend in the
Baltimore area with Deb, Mike, Jake and Mal. We all met at Austin and
Sarah's place at Marshy Point, on the Chesapeake.

The van was loaded up and a total mess for the 4-hour ride up I-95 from the
Burg.

Lot's of trees. Actually I think this is I-64 heading west from
Williamsburg.

This is the view from Austin and Sarah's "back yard".

This is where we parked the van for the weekend, taken from about the same
spot as the previous photo.

Another view. Best camping spot ever!

There was a slight issue with the June flies so we set up our screen room

It was nice to relax and take in the scenery

Is that the Venus de Milo?

Hey, how about a boat ride?

The weather was looking good so Austin fired up the boat and we headed out
in the bay for a little lunch and refreshments.

And this was only the end of Saturday!

On Sunday, we took another cruise, this time all the way to Baltimore's
Inner Harbor, or East Harbor, I guess.

Art. I wish I had more photos from this excursion. I must have been having
too much fun to remember to take photos. I do remember drinking a $300 glass
of Louis XIII Cognac though.

On Monday, Memorial Day, we moved the screen room from the yard to the patio
next to the van. We needed to make room for the kick ball extravaganza!

It was a great weekend! Special thanks to Austin and Sarah for opening up
their house, and Marshy Point for us and for hosting a very memorable
Memorial Day!
