Near Philadelphia

The outer suburbs of Philadelphia are a two-hour drive north through
Maryland and the beautiful back roads of the Brandywine River valley.

We stopped in Collegeville, home of Ursinus College and Appalachian Brewing
Company.

There I had a very enjoyable reunion with four Penn State Sigma Chi
Fraternity brothers who live in the area, and we all look exactly like we
did 45 years ago. Thanks, Luke, for arranging this little gathering. From
left to right: Paul "Zippy" Thress, Steve "Luke" Leuckel, yours truly, Gary
(my old roommate) Prowant, and Tommy Strohm.

Then it was off to Kimberton to see my brother's two daughters, Edna and
Lisy.

This is Lisy and her hubby Tom. I like the shirt, Tom.

Penn State

We took the aforementioned Turnpike and Route 322 to State College, PA,
where we checked into the Nittany Lion Inn

No, I did not sit in this type of student desk when I attended. These were a
couple years before my time.

Dick and Diana, Lisa and Bob. Dick and Bob are two more old friends and PSU
Sigma Chis.

Old Main the next day

This is in honor of my good friend, tennis partner and martini night
comrade, AJ, a proud Michigan State Alum. PSU & MSU, the best of the Big
Ten!

Dick, Di, Lorri and I had lunch at the legendary Tavern Restaurant.

I would advise the present day PSU students to embrace what this banner
says.

On the sixth floor of the building on the left is where I lived during my
freshman year, Mifflin Hall. I used to park my '61 Chevy Wagon right where
that little truck is! It was not legal to park there. The Campus Cops gave
me tickets.

Last stop for the afternoon: The Creamery!

Back at the NLI.

A short break, then cocktails at Whiskers at the NLI

Thursday night martini night! Cheers!

Here we are again!

On to
Cleveland!!!

Well, not really Cleveland, but east of Cleveland in Chagrin Falls. These
are the Falls.

Leaving Lauren and Adam's house. It was great to spend some time with the
McHugh/Hammond/Lake clans! We're looking forward to the family reunion!

...and it's off to Michigan to see the rest of the McHugh clan!
