Williamsburg VA, October 30 to November 4
Well it's toward the end of January, 2025, and I'm just now updating my website for the first time since last October. It's not because I didn't want to, it's because I couldn't. It's a long story. The short version is that my PC crashed and I lost a lot of stuff, including the ability to link to, and edit superstork.com. It's fixed now. I hope.

We flew into Norfolk on luxurious Breeze Airways, rented a car and drove to visit brother Bob in 'the Burg', This is the Bray School, recently renovated and relocated from a site on the William and Mary campus.

First order of business the next day was a walk around the Historic Area (HA) of Colonial Williamsburg (CW). There was a big to-do dedication ceremony for said Bray School.

I never get tired of how photogenic CW is.

A bicycle and unknown female (I think).

Meanwhile, back at the Dogwood Dr. abode of Uncle Hobble, we were getting ready for the Penn State-Ohio State game.

The game didn't turn out like we had hoped, but the decor and cupcakes we excellent!

We HAD to build it!

That's a good start!

Getting there!

Almost done!

And there you have it!

Looks just like the picture

Lorri and I took a day trip to this place which is a few miles south of Richmond and a little west of I-95

It was a non-touristy time of year and we had the place mostly to ourselves, except for these grizzled Civil War veterans.

This place is where the beginning of the end of the Civil War Started. (Does that make sense?) The Union Army broke through the Confederate defenses here and continued on toward Richmond and eventually Appomattox.

The first flag of the Confederate States.

Guns

You can read this stuff. This Park is big!

Tobacco barn.

The Plantation House

Reconstructed typical soldiers barracks.

Remains of the Confederate line, the fortifications, can still be seen.

This is how it happened on April 2nd, 1865. The war ended on April 9th.

Everything is peaceful here now.

We stopped here for a snack and a beverage on the way home.

Bob's daughter Edna was on QVC TV that evening.

Edna has the dark hair. She was good!

I almost wanted to buy some of those Mighty Red Gummies!
We had a very nice, though short visit with Bob, and it was time to head north to visit the Filling clan.
