We had a great weekend in Palm Desert at the Hidden Palms retreat of our old friends, Dave & Wendy

After a Friday night of bar/appetizer hopping we decided to go on a multi-mile hike to explore the desert wildlife and get a little sun and exercise.

So here we are doing just that, somewhere not too far from the Visitor Center.

After hours and hours of trudging through the sand and rocks, avoiding hazards such as attack lizards, butt bugs, fierce biting chipmunks, teddy bear chollas, and so on, we partook of a well-deserved lunch at Babe's, did a little shopping and went back to the chateau to view the Kentucky Derby, sip mint juleps (and various other beverages), bbq dinner, and solve most of the world's problems.
