Back East, 2005

On November 15, we flew from San Diego to Richmond, Virginia, then drove to Williamsburg to spend some time with my brother Bob, AKA Old Uncle Hobble, whose birthday happens to be November 18th.  My daughter Debbie and her family joined us later in the week, along with Bob's daughter Edna and her husband Mike and we had a big birthday party for Bob, who turned 137 this year. He's really old but remarkably well-preserved.

On Saturday, the 19th, we all (except Bob, Edna and Mike) drove down to Duck, North Carolina, a little vacation spot on the Outer Banks. There we settled into our rental house for Thanksgiving week.

The following Saturday we went back to the Burg. The Fillings left for Baltimore on Sunday and Lorri and I flew back to San Diego on Wednesday. It was great trip and great to see everyone, but as usual, the time went by too quickly.
