The Mine Tour
Monday afternoon we went on the "Mine Tour" with the inimitable Hans as our fearless leader and tour guide. It was a good way to get a little dust and dirt on the van before Tuesday's Alpine Loop excursion. The entire area is studded with abandoned mines, mine buildings, tailings and assorted other mine paraphernalia, and Hans proved a knowledgeable and entertaining source of information.
