Solvang, October 6 - 8
On Sunday, October 6th, we drove from Paso to Solvang stopping in Los Alamos on the way.
Sonja's Place
Clementine Carter, Casa Dumetz, and The Feminist Party wines, as well as Babi's Beer Emporium are all part of our friend Sonja Magdevski's "empire" located in the sleepy but up-and-coming little town of Los Alamos.
Sonja wasn't there but here we are!
Flatbread Kitchen
We had s nice lunch at the bar of Flatbread Kitchen down the street from Sonja's place.
After lunch we headed to Solvang and checked in to the WVI!
Our room was on the third floor just to the left of the clock tower.
Our room #310
Each room has its own unique architectural features.
Some interesting, others, not so much
We've stayed in several different rooms here and, except for having to climb some stairs, this was one of the better ones.
The elevator only goes to the second floor. These are the stairs to the third floor.

A Shop
The Founding Fathers haven't moved since our last visit
Monday, Oct 7
We stopped for lunch at Industrial Eats and then spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with Bruno D'Alfonso and Tracy at D'Alfonso-Curran's facility way out on Santa Rosa Road in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA.

Tracy opening another bottle for us
Bruno is a no nonsense, no BS, no filter sort of guy.

Good times, good friends and family - life is good!
