Welcome to Jack's 2020 Web Pages. We're looking forward to another great
year filled with fun stuff, travels, friends, family, and adventures!
Today is December 28th, 2020. 2020 has not been a normal year, to say the least. During a normal year I would have had many occasions to open up my good old website editor and download photos and commentary of some of the fun things that we've been able to do.
This year, because of the Covid-19 Corona Virus, our activities and travels have been very limited. We've cancelled trips to the Santa Barbara Wine Country, Williamsburg, VA, and Baltimore. Our grandson Jake was to get married over Thanksgiving. That big party got cancelled. We had planned to be in Italy in the fall helping Debbie celebrate her 50th birthday in grand style. That got cancelled.
I don't feel sorry for us at all. We are lucky to be retired and not have to worry about losing our jobs, our house, or anything like that. We have our health, we have each other, we have our friends and family. Thankfully, we all have computers, smartphones, iPads, and so on, which allow us to keep in touch, "touchless" in touch, but in touch nonetheless.
We are thankful for the things that we have and the things we've been able to do over the past several months. Good food, Jack's artwork, hanging out in the backyard, walks on the beach, the occasional socially distanced gatherings, have all helped us to maintain some semblance of normalcy. The following are a few comments and photos of some of these things, divided into the three seasons (so far) of the Panmdemic.
