Thanksgiving at Lynn and Steve's

We enjoyed a brunch of Omaha Steaks and quiche, along with a little bubbly and other assorted beverages. Here are some of us. Note Steve in the window!

And here we are without Steve in the window. Lynn must have been the photographer. It was good to spend some family time with GPV, Grandpa V, Lorri and Lynn's dad. Since he's blind, he has a little trouble figuring what direction to "look" for photos.

With a brief stop to check in at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, we then headed to Tom and Patty's new digs for their annual family gathering.

This was the "adult" table.

The new house is somewhat smaller but Tom found a way to squeeze in the shuffleboard and pool table!

One of the highlights was tasting this 1999 Chateau Montelena Cab, thanks to Trevor, who procured it at a charity auction.

I think it was a Methuselah, I don't know, but it was BIG! That's a regular bottle on the right. Also, That's Ryan and Jenny in the background.

Ashley and Frank, or "Frashley" as they are sometimes referred to.

Jenny, Sara, Chris, Maria, and Ryan Canavan AKA "RC"

Add Trevor on the left and RC's brother Sean next to him on the right. Maria is Sean girlfriend.

Add Ashley and Haley on the left. Where are Kim and Katie?

The next generation: Everly with Uncle Trevor (can we call Trevor a "Druncle" now?) and me. Here's how I'm connected to Everly: She is my wife Lorri's sister Lynn's husband Steve's sister Patty's granddaughter. Got that?

and with the TV off!

Another family photo out by the pool table

Tom and I played some shuffleboard and some pool. That's not Everly in the high chair

Once again we had a great time and felt fortunate to be part of such a warm and friendly family gathering. Giving thanks for our good fortune!

Sunday, December 1st

On our way to Irvine for Siena Snöwe's Christening

Here we  are at the church.
Siena is not quite sure what to make of the Baptismal fountain.

But she took it all in stride. No kicking, screaming, crying, or anything! She's a very good-natured baby. That's her older sister London peeking over the fountain.

Daddy Sean returning to their pew

Siena sat right in front of me for a bit so I made some faces at her and snapped a couple photos.

She was having a good time chewing stuff and looking around at the crowd.

At the reception

Caitlyn and Cambria, Siena's mama.

Jody's kids

And here's their dad Craig!

and me and Lorri

Siena, Cambria, and Sean.

It was great to see Caitlyn and Cambria again, and meet Sean and reconnect with Craig.
