For some crazy reason, Lorri and I thought it would be a good idea to host the extended Thompson/Evers Clan for an end-of-summer backyard BBQ and game day.
We prepped some "Pincho Ribs"...
...a LOT of them! (This is about half of them.)
Setting things up
Water, Wine and Beer - three essential food groups.
The table!
The couch and chairs!
The bocce court
The goat!

The big table!
Me. I decided to break out the selfie stick so I could get in some of the photos on my website.
All the thousands regulars who visit my website have been requesting for years to see more photos with me in them.
Se here goes...
Me and Sara!
Me and Sara with Rachel looking on.
Me and Frank!
Me with the Vierling sisters
yet again!
Me with Jenny!
Me with Rachel! OMG!
Me with other people that don't know I'm taking their photograph.
OK, no more selfies today.
How about a Jell-O shooter that looks like a slice of watermelon?
OK, sounds good!
Thanks, Ash, the watermelon Jell-O shooters were a hit!
Steve downing a Jell-O shooter
And thanks to all for bringing some great apps, sides, and desserts! And thanks for bringing The Spirit of Dublin Teeling Irish Whiskey, Frank!
OK, here are some photos Lorri took. This is NOT a selfie!
Neal, Tom, Katie, and Ashley
Pattaye, Jennaye, and Maraye
Ready for some Bocce?
It takes a lot of balls to play bocce!
Steve, me, Ryan, and Frank with our balls.
It's the girls turn.
The girls had balls too!
Giant Jenga! "Yank it!"
Looks precarious, Ash.
Lynn! You can't take a block from the top!
Neal's "yank it" strategy worked well except for the people he nearly sent to the hospital from being hit by flying Jenga blocks!
Food Time!
Pincho Ribs
Pincho Ribs on the Barbie.
Eating Pincho ribs (and a whole lot of other good stuff!)
Here are a series of group shots.
Pick your fave!
Your favorite is always the one in which you look your best, even if everyone else in the photo has their eyes closed and food in their teeth.
The lady seated at the end of the table is our new friend Linda.
Linda and C.P., the guy tossing the ball, are the parents of Sara's friend, Justin. They are visiting from Iowa. Well, not Justin, he lives here.
The results are in....
Justin and C.P. teamed up to win the bocce contest! Here they are holding the grand prize: a very small bottle of Fireball!
So, cheers to all! It was a great afternoon! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did. I feel today like I must have had a whole lot of fun yesterday! Thanks to all for coming, bringing stuff, and making it a fun day!
