HAMILTON
Lorri and Josie were successful getting tickets from Ticketmaster the first day the went on sale. Or, I should say that their strategy worked. They both got online but Josie was the one that was able to nab four tickets.
We went to the January 20th matinee show
Our seat were in the mezzanine, which is a synonym for "Nosebleed Section", but we brought our opera glasses and the sound was excellent!
Before the show we had a glass of wine at a table on the mezzanine level overlooking the main lobby of the San Diego Civic Theater.
Absolutely no photography was allowed during the play so I took a photo from near where are seats were before it started. I still got yelled at.
Here is out proof of attendance: tickets, playbill and a $14 cup of mediocre wine!
Josie and Lorri
OK, I say, great play, sir!
Afterward, we walked around the corner to the bar at the U. S. Grant Hotel, where we ordered "The Thespian Drink", Hamilton's Whiskey Rebellion"
We've tried to make them at home using Brandy, Johnny Walker Red, Kahlua, triple sec and regular bitters. They were OK, but not quite as good as at the Grant.
