That's not my shadow

The rains have finally let up here in San Diego and it was a beautiful, cool winter day for golf!

Our friends Tom and Patty invited us to join them for the opening round

This was our view of the 15th green from our seats in "The Fringe", Harrah's Casino's party tent.

Here we are in our seats havin Bloody Marys and hanging out. 

Here are Tom, Lorri and Patty along the 18th fairway, I think.

Leishman, Appleby and Hadwin were up

Not sure which of the three this is. They all hit the ball a mile. 

Daniel Berger's ball landed in that sand next to the cart path about 5 feet from where we were walking. We could have been injured or killed! We stood there and watched him take a drop and proceed to nail the green from about 200 yards.

And there he is about to pull his drive nearly to the next fairway.

Here he is getting ready to break his driver in half. Just kidding.

It was a perfect day to visit Torrey Pines. It almost made me want to get out and play a round. Not really, but it is a beautiful course.

Phil played the North course on Thursday and we were in the South, so we only got to see his larger-than-life poster.

Thanks Tom and Patty for inviting us and thanks to Ryan for the passes. All was great!
