El Paso de los Robles!
November 6 to 13, 2012
The weather was perfect for a trip up the coast to Paso Robles for a few days of wine-tasting and carousing with our friends.
We jumped in the van, plowed through LA and made our first stop at a beach in Ventura.
Virtually no one there, lots of sand, good place for a lunch stop!

Our company - birds and another couple down the way.

This is our camping spot at Refugio State Beach.
Just a few steps from the ocean...
OK, it's Nov. 6 and still no shoes, no shirt weather! I love CA!

The coast here faces south, which is nice because it's always sunny

Leaving Refugio and heading north our first winery stop was Laetitia
Next stop, Edna Valley, well-know for their chardonnays but they make some good Pinots and Cabs which they don't mass-market.
This is the view from Edna Valley. The vines were all beginning to turn colors and lose their leaves
And their tasting room is great with great views!

Here we are in Paso at the luxurious Wine Country RV Resort...
Which happens to be just steps away from the Eos tasting room. There is even a gate and trail through the vines to get from the RV park to Eos!
