The New Patio
We decided to get rid of some of the turf in the backyard and create some extra party space instead.

The initial layout by garden hose.

Joe Marsh and his fine crew from Pavers 4 Less worked hard for two days! It would have taken me two months.

We (they) dug a ditch so we could place electric conduit for power to the far side.

They removed a lot of turf and dirt then placed base and sand and flattened it out.

The orange outline is where the edge should end up.

Setting down the pavers.

The re-bar sticking up is the center of the circle - 13 ft. diameter and 11 ft. diameter.

Once the pavers are down the shape is cut, creating as much dust as possible.

But is goes quickly and the result is a smooth finish.

Then they lay the edge in mortar to keep things in place.

Then it was my turn.

I added some dirt and bark to fill in the area between the existing planter and the new patio.

The finished product!

Can't wait for it to warm up here in SD so we can get some use out of it!
