Ciaran from Ireland

On Thursday, Oct 27, we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Lorri's Irish cousin, Ciaran, and his lovely new wife, Claire.

By "new" wife, I mean they were here on their honeymoon, having gotten married the previous Friday. Ciaran (pronounced "Kirin", like the beer) and Claire were spending a couple days in San Diego before heading to Las Vegas and eventually to San Francisco.

We had a nice ride up I-5 to our house and then back along the coast through Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Torrey Pines to La Jolla, where we had a nice lunch on the veranda at La Valencia.

We first met Ciaran in Dublin last Spring. He and Lorri had traded emails through their genealogical research and he spent an afternoon with us in Dublin. Here is a link to my photos from that day: http://www.superstork.com/2011euro/07_IrelandD.html

We look forward to visiting Ciaran and Claire when we next travel to Ireland and wish them all the best in their marriage. Also, we hope they hit the jackpot in Las Vegas!

Happy Birthday, Grandma V!

Speaking of relatives... November 1 is Grandma V's 83rd birthday and to celebrate we all met for lunch at a nice little Mexican restaurant in Escondido!
