Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Oct 11 - 13
We left Lansdale with Deb and Mike and stopped somewhere in Maryland for
lunch and to watch some if the Baltimore Ravens game.

This is us having lunch. That's the Ravens' schedule and that's Mike
with a little figurehead lady.

This is a historic home along the Ma & Pa Trail near Bel Air. It was
once the summer home of some rich people but now the County owns it and
mostly people get married there.

Here we are going to lunch at a nice Italian place called "Liberatore's"

The front of Deb & Mike's place; Malarie dressed in "senior green".
(Green was the seniors color for "Spirit Week", the week before
Homecoming.) The kitchen.
Powderpuff Football

One of the traditions of Spirit Week is the annual Junior girls vs.
Senior girls flag football game.

Malarie was no. 4 for the seniors and she played quarterback. The
game was a defensive struggle but Mal did manage to complete a pass.
Unfortunately it was to a Junior who ran it back for a touchdown, giving
the Juniors the victory.

Malarie was a little down but her friends were all supportive and
reminded her that it was only a game. It was fun to watch and all the
kids seemed to be having a good time.

Malarie is lucky to have such a nice group of young ladies for her
friends.

Fells Point
After Powderpuff we said our goodbyes and drove our rental Corolla to
downtown Baltimore where we spent the night at The Admiral Fell Inn in
Fells Point. For you San Diego People, Fells Point is to Baltimore sort
of like what the Gaslamp District is to San Diego.

Courtesy of friends of Debbie's we were able to secure a great room
with views of the Harbor and the town square.

This is our room. It had three dormer windows, a king bed, and well,
the other stuff you can see in the photos.

Looking out the windows. Lorri pole dancing in front of Admiral Fell.

There are plenty of Pubs and restaurants in Fells Point, including
this Irish Pub where we had a tipple or two.

It was also "Schooner Week" which meant that there were a lot of
tall-masted schooners in the Harbor there was entertainment in the
square at night.

We had a great dinner and drinks at a place called "Mezze" and later
we bundled up and listened to couple very entertaining vocal groups.

On Wednesday morning the skies were clear and bright so we walked
around in search of breakfast, which we found, and photo opportunities,
which we found too.

Here are some of the schooners.

More boats.

More bars.

Even more bars! We had a great stay in Fells Point! We checked out
and headed down I-95 toward Richmond and Williamsburg.
Pole Green Market.

Just off I-295, the by-pass around Richmond we visited Pole Green
Market where you can find all sorts of fresh local produce.

In Williamsburg we were greeted by four consecutive days of 50
degrees and mostly rain but we still managed to get out now and then for
a little walking on Duke of Gloucester Street. It cleared up and was
very nice on Monday, the day before we left.
