Friday, October 9, Lansdale, PA My
brother Bob's youngest, Lisy, and her long-time boyfriend Tom, picked
the perfect afternoon to tie the knot. (Why do they call it that,
anyway?)

The family gathered at the Homewood Suites Hilton Hotel, then headed
to the Center Square Country Club where the wedding and reception took
place.

After a morning of threatening skies and some rain, the clouds
cleared, the sun came out and it was a perfect afternoon and evening.
Here are Jake and Mal and the the whole family, daddy Mike and Debbie
mom.

The Northern Virginia boys showed up looking as dapper as can be,
especially young David with his spiffy derby. That's Steve, Tom, John &
Dave and in the next photo they were joined by John's wife Jennifer and
Dave's friend Crystal.

The ceremony was outside as the sun was slowly sinking providing for
some good lighting. I hope the real photographer got some good shots.

For what they're worth, here are the ones I took from my seat in the
back row.

The ceremony was my kind of ceremony, short, sweet and nobody tripped
going up the aisle.

Immediately after the ceremony, the party started.

Deb and mini-Deb, I mean Malarie, then Jon, Adam and the sisters
Lauren and Elise. On the right, John, Jon, Elise and Jen.

Jake, Mal & Mike. Jake is now and inch or two taller than big sister
and swiftly catching up to pa pa Mike.
Me and the bride and Lorri, me and the bride. Me, Tom and
brother Bob, the father of the bride. On the right is Juanita, mother of
the bride, with Mike.
The view from the patio area where the ceremony was held.
Killin' some time outside before dinner...
Some of the wedding party entering the dining room, including the
mother and father of the bride in the photo on the left. On the right is
Edna, Lisy's sister with Tom's brother, the maid of honor and best man.

Lisy and Tom are into movies and each table had a movie theme. Our
was "Airplane!"

Kevin and Mary made the long drive from Cleveland on Friday and drove
back on Saturday!

More Mal and Jake, then me and daughter Deb and Jake and Lorri.

Here are some dancing and caking photos!

That's about it for wedding photos. After dinner, the weather was
nice enough to sit outside and smoke cigars and catch up with family
from all over the place.

Back at the hotel, we took turns visiting each others rooms. The
hotel worked out great! All the rooms were suites, so there was plenty
of room to hang out without having to sit on somebody's bed.
Saturday, October 10.

First order of business Saturday was to find a place to watch the
Penn State game against Eastern Illinois.

Some of us went to P J Whelihan's Pub which was a nice sports
bar/restaurant and the scene of the rehearsal dinner on Thursday night.
John Lennon was there rooting for the Nittany Lions.
Saturday Night

A certain person in our entourage, I won't say who, recently
celebrated a milestone birthday.

With this family, any excuse to have a party will do. I was very
honored by the attention and the gifts, especially the video that Debbie
made with photos of me and my favorite music! She also read a "roast"
put together by my good friend Jeff, which was pretty funny and maybe
about 10% true.

We all had a great time the whole weekend, so much so that the
cousins are planning a family reunion in 2011. I hope it happens! Thanks
to Lisy and Tom for providing the main reason for getting together. May
they have 100 years of wedded bliss!
