On Sunday, September 14, we were honored to be invited to a Padres game by our friends, Dan & Carol. Even though the Padres were long ago out of contention for anything except the cellar, it was good to get out to the ball park for our first and only game of the year and it was great to spend an afternoon with the Smiths.

We started at the Tilted Kilt which I'm still a little confused about. It is sort of like a cross between Hooters and an Irish/Scottish Pub on steroids. I guess I should have taken a few photos there.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day, the Padres lost (as usual) wearing their camouflage jerseys for Military Sunday.

The military was in the upper deck down the right field line and we sang "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch as well as "Take me out to the ballgame".

Sunny day, cold beer, hot dogs, peanuts and good friends - and, oh yeah, some baseball - a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
