In Februry we took a surprise trip bck east to Williamsburg, Virginia.
Why was it a surprise? Who the heck would leave sunny San Diego in the
middle of the winter to go to the land of ice and snow. OK, maybe I
exaggerate a little. It was a little chilly there but we didn't get any
ice or snow. Also, it rained in San Diego for most of the time we were
away. Here are some photos of the family from Presidents Day weekend
when they journeyed down from the north country (well, north of
Baltimore anyway).

From left to right, daughter Debbie, grand daughter Malarie, spousal
unit Lorri, son-in-law Mike, grandson Jacob, brother Bob.

After the kids left, we took a day and went for a ride south across
the James river on the ferry and then westerly along the James.

We were looking for a tavern out in the sticks and when we found it,
it was closed! Imagine our disappointment.
