Sunday, December 16, Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA
The Detroit Lions, with nephew Sean McHugh starting at tight end, visit the San Diego Chargers for a 1:00 o'clock game.
If you think that sounds like a good reason for a tailgate party, you're right. Not just any tailgate party, but a "Breakfast of Champions" featured BBQ steaks and choice of gin or vodka martinis, you know, health food and hearty beverages.
I seem to remember some not quite sober guy in the group across from us trying to take our group photo. It took him five tries. I wonder where Greg was...
It was just a cozy little party - the eight of us along with 50,000 others hanging out in the parking lot and having a good time.
If you look carefully in the yellow circle you can see Greg, Kelly, John & Jan. Their seats were two sections over. in the middle photo are Wendy, Lorri and Dave. You can tell by Wendy and Lorri's attire that it was a cold day in San Diego. I think it got all the way down to, like, 55 degrees! After the game we met Sean in the visiting team area outside the stadium. Sean had a good game even though his team lost to the Chargers, 51-14.
