As part of Lorri's birthday celebration we went to see Lyle Lovett and kd lang perform at Humphrey's on Shelter Island. We splurged for the Hotel/Dinner package which includes a room for the night, dinner and up front seats.

We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite with a view of the marina.

Since they don't allow cameras in the venue, we strolled through prior to the event and took these photos. Our seats were in the second row from the stage. In the photo on the right you can see how close the water is. This is where many kayakers, canoe people and other floating people take in the shows for free.

We had a pre-dinner foo-foo drink poolside. The grounds are nicely maintained but the room could use a make-over.

It was a great show and a great get-away.
