First Few Days in Florida
We flew from Richmond to Tampa (via Miami where we had a four hour layover) on Wednesday, June 28th. Today is the third of July and I'm just now getting around to downloading and posting a few photos. We've been having a great time. The weather has been good, although warm and humid. There is a nice breeze along the beach so it's fine for sitting out and early morning jogs. Late yesterday afternoon we had our first t-storm but it was clear before the sun set.
The beach and water are as nice as I've ever seen them here. Plenty of white fluffy sand all up and down the coast,
The water temp is in the eighties and the water is relatively clear - no red tides, just a little seaweed, no jelly fish or sting rays.
We had a nice sunset one of the first nights we were here and I thought yu all would like to see a photo of my feet!
Here I am a-cookin' up some steak.
Here we are floating on our $2.49 raft. It took about $40 worth of energy to blow it up. We bought two of them and we're working up the energy to blow up the second one pretty soon.
This guy caught this fish right off shore. It's called a drum fish and they said it's good eatin'. Shoulda brought my tackle...
Views up and down the beach from the water.
Lorri floating. Jack floating.
